Dry Carpet Cleaning is fast becoming an increasingly popular alternative to steam cleaning and if used correctly can clean carpets very well indeed. It involves the use of certain highly specialised machines to clean your old carpets and make them look as good as new.
At Clean SCC, we use the very latest in advanced chemical technologies that allow us to utilise the no-moisture or “very low moisture” (VLM) cleaning system.
The main advantage of this system is that not only does it remove all kinds of harmful allergens, grit, mud, and sand (all of which can potentially cause sneezing, coughing and even rashes amongst allergy prone people) but also leads to the beautification of old carpets and increases their life as well.
As a general rule it is advisable to have your carpets dry cleaned in the winter months and steam cleaned in summers. Not only would your dry cleaned carpets look more aesthetically pleasing but also be much safer as badly maintained carpets that may well become a breeding ground for all manner of insects and other assorted vermin.

Pre vacuuming stage
First and foremost, our highly experienced professionals will expertly pre vacuum not just your carpets but your upholstery as well.
Checking the carpet for stains and blots
We meticulously search the carpet for blots and blemishes and tell tale signs of dirt, food spillage, etc. for subsequent removal.
Strain and spot removal… On the spot!
Once all the spots and stains have been clearly identified, each and every one of them is individually treated with our state of the art chemical cleansers. This is to ensure complete removal of even the most deep settled dirt.
Special ‘Dry Organic Compound’
Our carpet cleaning specialists will then apply our ‘Dry Organic Compound’ to deep clean the carpet from one end to the other. This compound penetrates down to the very roots of the carpet and cleans it from its base, all the way to the tips of the fibres. This chemical has the unique capability of literally absorbing dust and grit.
HOST™ Sponges
The heart of our operations are the environmentally friendly, all natural ‘HOST™ sponges’. These special sponges penetrate all the surfaces of the carpet effectively breaking down and dissolving the dirt and grime, and brushing them away from the individual strands of the carpet.
Since these sponges are an all natural product, they can be used not only on synthetic carpets but also carpets made of wool and other natural fibres such as sea grass and sisal.
Stain guard
If you want a more long-term solution to your carpet cleaning problems, once the carpets are completely clean our team of experts will then cover the carpet in a special ‘stain protection coating’ to ensure enhanced protection from the elements.
A world of convenience
The dry compound carpet cleaning system with HOST™ sponges has proved to be highly convenient, due to a total lack of drying time. This means the carpet can be used immediately after the cleaning process is complete.
